Camp Meeting Employment Opportunities | LRC HR DEPARTMENT 

Following are employment opportunities for the Lake Region Conference 2017 Camp Meeting, which will be held from June 16- 24, 2016. If you are selected, you will be required to fulfill additional requirements (such as Verified Volunteers for training and background screen) and paperwork (such as the I-9 and W-4 forms). Additional positions will be listed in the near future.

Description: Supervise grounds workers, coordinate and assign work details daily, clean restrooms, empty trash bins, lawn care, mopping, sweeping, provide assistance to the Camp Ranger as needed, and performs other duties as required.

Qualifications:  Two (2) years of grounds maintenance experience.  Must be able to endure seasonal temperatures and duties require much outdoor work.  Must be able to work with minors.

Reports to:  Camp Ranger

Time Required:  Approximately 10 hours per day

CAMP MAINTENANCE WORKERS

Description: Perform a variety of lawn care services such as mowing, edging, and raking to ensure the camp grounds are well-maintained and presentable.  Clean all public restrooms, empty trash bins, remove trash and debris from common areas, move furniture, provide assistance to campers and other duties as required.

Qualifications:  Must be over 16 years of age.  Previous grounds maintenance experience preferred.  Must be able to endure seasonal temperatures and duties require much outdoor work.  Must be able to work independently as well as on a team.

Reports to:  Grounds Crew Supervisor

Time Required:  8-10 hours per day

Description: Set up and take down all A/V equipment. Run the sound board, mic, speakers etc., Engineer and mix sound during all services.  Coordinate and perform sound checks with Praise & Worship team prior to each worship service.  Troubleshoot sound issues.  Create and select various slides to be included during worship experiences.  Set up and break down computer and projector as needed.  Display welcome and countdown slides prior to the beginning of the worship experience.  Display lyrics to songs during praise and worship.  Display scriptures and sermon content slides during sermon.  Display video announcements

Qualifications: Two (2) years audiovisual training and experience.  Strong customer service and communication skills.  Dependable, organized, attention to detail.

Reports to: Youth Director

Time Required: Approximately 5 hours per day

Description: Assist in the assessment of youth program requirements and in the development of youth activities.  Coordinate and attend all afternoon and evening activities during camp meeting.  Coordinate the music and musicians for the duration of camp meeting programs and activities at the Deliverance Youth Center.

Qualifications: High School diploma/GED.  Previous experience working with children and youth preferred. Attention to detail and good communications skills.

Reports to: Youth Director

Time Required:  4-6 hours per day

 Description: Responsible for setup and operation sound equipment for all services and workshops at the Adult Pavilion throughout the entire ten days of camp.  Set up speakers, amplifiers, microphones for various presentations.

Qualifications: Must be able to operate sound boards like Yamaha LS 9-32. Strong customer service and communication skills.  Dependable, organized, attention to detail.

Reports to: Communication Director

Time Required:  8-10 hours per day
