Colby Hispanic Church Creates Safe Spaces for Families

To create a safe and healthy space for recreation for the family and to have a community free of anxiety and depression during the winter, the Colby Hispanic Seventh-day Adventist Church, in partnership with Ever Construction LLC, Caribe Ink and Thread LLC, Peck Roofing Inc, La Weracruzana Mexican Store, Abarrotes La China Mexican Store, Taqueria El Sol, La Norteñita Grocery, Partydise, ZB Designs, Fiesta Market LLC, Novedades La Chiquita, Nicolet Bank, and Pasito Mexican Store, celebrated the finals of the First Futsal Tournament Winter 2024 at the High School Gym of Colby. The tournament took place from January 28 through March 31 at the Memorial Hall of Unity with the participation of seven adult masculine teams and two mixed teams categories, ages 7 to 10 and 11 to 16.

Pastor Juan Rivas and the organizer committee congratulate the champion teams: Deportivo San Miguel, adult masculine category, Deportivo San Miguel mixed category 7 to 10 years old, and America Casa mixed category 11 to 16 years old. Pastor Rivas informed us that the next tournament will be from January through March 2025, and he thanked all the participant’s teams, their families, and community members for their unconditional support.
