Nikolai Greaves, pastor of Champaign Park Ave, Decatur Lebanon & Peoria Mt. Sinai churches in southern Illinois, was invited to conduct a week of prayer at his alma mater, Andrews Academy.
The theme for this week of prayer, was from August 30 through September 3, was “We are Anchored in Faith.” At the end of this spiritual encounter, the Holy Spirit touched young people’s hearts and minds, and 18 people made their decision for baptism. To God be the glory.
Edward Cervantes, an Andrews Academy student, was baptized on Sabbath, September 4, at the Pioneer Memorial Church in Berrien Springs, Michigan.
The additional 17 students are scheduled to be baptized over the next two months. Pastor Greaves, who was a 2006 graduate from Andrews Academy said, “It was an honor to return to my alma-mater to not only tell of my faith journey, but also share the love of Jesus in a new way with these amazing young men and women.”
